How to get hidden files in full color?

Okay so I was fighting a Trojan virus and it hid all of my documents, pictures, etc. So I did a system restore and figured out how to go into the control panel and bring back my documents. Now all of my documents and pictures are dimmed. How to I get them back to regular color like they were before?
