Why is my DE UMP M89 airsoft gun not shooting?

My UMP has a full mag, and its all wound up. Yet when i shoot it in full auto not all shots are fired. Sometimes none. And the same for semi. But when i am it downwards, it shoots perfectly fine. Whats causing this problem?
