How can i fix the settings of the audio or stereo in my laptop?

I have a speaker that i was using in this laptop before and it worked. Now, everytime i connect this speaker in my laptop, there's no sound but when i use a different speaker or disconnect this speaker it has sound. How can i fix the settings of SOUND in the control panel without downloading anything?
