I am planing to buy Sony Bravia NX500 40 Inch LCD screen, but I haven't heard Much good about this model?

I just wanted confirm if all that is true? or its just a marketing strategy to sell other models? I have heard that This particular model have problems with their Panel, they say that they get complaints from clients about their panels almost with in 2 years after buying their TV, is that true?
