What happened to my lower toolbar?

my noticications on the bottem right of my desktop that tell me time, network, battery , ect. have all stopped working after i downloaded and used highgrow legal marijuana growing system and i know it is not a virus because i have norton and have done several scans on all files. only the network and sound dont work and alot of blank ones pop up but when i put my mouse over them they dissapear the sound doesnt work when i click on it so i have to mangage my sound with my controll panel. can anyone help?
